Several individual researchers engaged in the ATLAS-program has been successful with their grant-applications over the latest days. Maja Krzewinska was granted support from Riksbankens Jubileumsfond. She was supported for working on the genetics behind multiple burials. Over the coming years she will help us understand more on the genetic context related to this phenomenon. Only days later Torun Zachrisson and Anna Kjellström were granted support from Vetenskapsrådet to continue their work on prehistoric Sigtuna, a fascinating early town on the Lake Mälaren. Together these women have brought more than 10 million SEK into the sphere of archaeogenetics.
