We have had Nihan Dilsad with us over the autumn. An efficient and easy going member of Mehmet Somels team at METU in Turkey. And she is about to go home (the 29th of November) and take on the final push for her thesis. But before she flies out, she gave me, Janne, and Maja a compact presentation of her work here on archaeological material from Turkey and on archaeological material from northern Scandinavia. Dilsad is from a group of researchers based in Ankara and headed by Mehmet, who are doing some really really good bioinformatics on degraded ancient DNA. When they are involved, one can always be certain of the high quality. It is always a pleasure when they are visiting and work with us here in Stockholm.
