New year, new ideas.

2016 is behind us, and we are starting out on 2017. We have an exciting year ahead of us. Much to publish, much to sequence, much to study. 1000 ancient genomes officially started the 1st of January this year, and we are waiting for the first postdoc employed under this program. But now, at the very beginning of the year, it is logical to review the upcoming applications. Several of them have deadlines early during the year. And as the programs we are already running are very specific in their research-tasks, we may want to use some of these applications for ideas that do not quit fit in to our existing funded activities. That is why you fin us, Jan Storå, Mattias Jakobsson, and Helena Malmström, (and me outside the photo) sitting writing on the very evening of the 5th of January holiday.

Happy new year to all of you.
