Greasing boots

After a vacation with some writing and a little bit of SMBE in Manchester, it is time to grease boots. I have not done that since I was in the army more than 30 years ago. As I have never been to the arctic and thus in need for greased boots. Much of the aDNA have actually been from permafrost areas, as DNA is better preserved in cold climate. But the questions I have been interested in was never solvable with arctic material.

A lot of people heard Beth Shapiro talk at SMBE

But northern Greenland is potentially super interesting. A few weeks up there, with lake coring equipment and the possibility to screen melting ice patches will reveal if there is more human work to be done there in the future. But first I need to grease my boots.
